Hogtown Hash House Harriers (HH3) was established in 1987 as the Toronto chapter of the global "drinking club with a running problem," the Hash House Harriers (AKA 'The Hash')

Our runs currently happen every other Saturday plus one Thursday and one Friday per month. Start locations may be anywhere across the city but are usually TTC-accessible. Walkers and non-drinkers are always welcome!

new to hashing? Here's SOME OF what to expect...

A trail is set by the 'hare' - one of our members - with secret markers that the group has to find and follow

The trail is typically 4-8km long, with different options for runners and walkers - your pace, your choice, but no hasher is left behind!

Expect plenty of laughs, songs, quirky traditions, and a beer and/or shooter stop or two along the way. Non-alcoholic drinks are generally also available.

If it rains you get wet. If it's cold you get cold. If it's warm you get sweaty and thirsty. The beer stop helps with that!

What to wear? Walking or running shoes and something casual. Regular hashers wear hash-themed gear - AKA haberdashery - but this is neither required nor expected for newcomers!

Post-run drinks, snacks (sometimes) and more quirky traditions and socializing happens in 'the circle' at a local bar, an outdoor location, or occasionally at the hare's house

The cost of the run ('Hash Cash') is currently $10 for regular trails and $15 for Hogans, which includes beer stops and post-run beers, etc.; Non-drinkers pay just $2

Hashers are a friendly eclectic group that typically includes a mix of expats and locals. We sing a lot, and have an inappropriate song for every occasion, but don't let the songs or the ridiculous hasher names put you off - we are actually nice people!
