Hogtown hash #1155
Hare: Cougar
Wylie's Restaurant
On Monday, April 26, Cougar filled in as hare. We met at Wylie’s on Yonge Street, and for some reason Cougar went around pinning pictures of Birdbrian on everybody. In those pictures Birdbrian was prancing around his Bavarian living room wearing a pair of lederhosen. She said something about talking to him over webcams and Skype and capturing the pictures of him. But yeeeeew – I think this is one of those spectacles that just degrades and diminishes everybody involved, like attending a cockfight or watching a dancing bear.

The trail started off heading down Yonge Street, went west to Avenue Road, then sort of zigged and zagged back and forth over to Yonge, which after all that we finally crossed about a block north from where we started. After circling the reservoir east of there we descended into the valley running south of St. Clair, picked our way along the trails and wound up under the rail bridge, where we had beer. More drinking under a bridge – what are we, trolls?

That done, it was a simple climb up the stairs and a gentle walk back to Yonge.

A tall visitor named Mile High showed up for the hash. He was, if not a Brit, then at least Brit-ish. He seemed happy with it all – maybe he thought he were always like this.
