Monday, December 21 was the longest, darkest night of the year, so it was fitting for this hash which would also succeed in keeping us in the dark. Hare New Shoez was quite proud of his handiwork, giggling and cackling to himself as he went on about it going in circles and making us dizzy. And it did, it did. We started from Aristotle and McGregor’s on Mount Pleasant near Davisville, and we went around in circles for a while. Like I was paying attention. All I remember is we ended up in Cougar’s backyard for the beer check, we had 500 mL cans of decent brew because it is Chrismukkah after all, and at first it was all warm and toasty because of the running but after 10 or 15 minutes of standing around it got frigging cold.
Canuck ex-pat visitor Gitch bored us all with tales of hashing in what is seemingly the World War II body farm of Saipan. Venta joined Zephyr and the rest of us at the on on with their visiting offspring. And Poker showed up as he and Flyer boasted about getting their Canadian citizenship – apparently they found a coupon in their box of Shreddies that morning. So answer me this: can you spell Wetaskiwin, Chibougamau, Kashagawigamog and Shubenacadie? Huh? Huh?
