The Monday run on August 31 was set by Moist Leatherette from the Old Nick on the Danforth. This one had the beer check right across the street at the Black Swan. First, though, you had to run through the City Adult school yard, across the bridge over the DVP onramp, through the gay cruising woods, through Riverdale Park, up a hill and down Broadview, over the DVP on the footbridge and into the other side of Riverdale Park, up another hill, through a bit of Cabbagetown, back down to Gerrard, over to the jail and across Broadview and over to Logan, back up to the Danforth after backtracking on Sparkhall and up Hampton, north of the Danforth and west along a parallel street to the parking lot behind the subway station and into the back door of the bar. (And some of the marks on this route were kind of “alleged”.) UNLESS, of course, you were Humpday, Yaketty Yak and Morehead, who short-cutted on Broadview and got onto the in-trail, and wound up at the BC half an hour before anybody else, and had already gone through two pitchers by themselves before anybody else in the pack showed up.
