Hogtown hash #1067
Hare: Humpday
Imperial Public Library and Tavern
The Trash Writers Association of Toronto (Local 69) is currently on strike. While negotiations continue other hashers will be filling in. This week Cougar offered to lend a hand.
I had to work late so I called
Humpday and he sent me, along with
Sex Toy (she’s sooo pretty) and
New Shoez, directly to the beer check. It was at a place called Masala Mirch at Dundas and Sherbourne. Funny, I thought I knew most of the Indian restaurants in town but leave it to
Humpday to find this dump. Now I know where Seaton House residents go for a night cap. Thoughtful of the owner though, to put bubble wrap on the wall opposite the basement stairway, although I suspect most of the patrons wouldn’t feel the fall. So as not to come in contact with the regulars, the barkeep had kindly provided us with our own hermetically sealed room. With $10 jugs it probably would have been a good place for down downs but at Masala Mirch standing up is verbotten.
Anyhoo, last thing I remember was talking to some crack head outside when I noticed 6 runners zoom by. (Ah crap... it was probably only 3 but by then I was seeing double.)Too fast to be hashers I thought to myself. A short time later the rest of the pack arrived and wondered what had happened to Vanity Fairy, Just Marianna, and Just Cathy. I had to confess that I might have accidentally been standing on the “BN”. Is that bad?
I’m sorry I’m not able to provide many details about the trail but I understand that it was really fricken cold, that it went through the Distillery District, and that that there was a conveniently located Hash Halt outside the Mill Street Brewery.
From the beer check we returned to the Imperial PUBlic Library and I really do not remember that. I had to leave early to feed my dogs but I’m confident that bad behaviour continued through the night and I am sure into the wee hours. I think it is safe to say that a good time was had by all.
